Over the last 20 years it has become apparent that no new initiatives have really been developed within organisations. Read the following sentence and count how many letter 'F's there are:

The majority of people will initially see three 'F's. There are infact six in total. The reason for not seeing these additional three 'F's is pre-conditioning. When you are taught to speak, you learn phonetically i.e. the word 'OF' is pronounced 'OV' , therefore the brain doesn't initially registered the three 'OF's in the sentence as containing the letter 'F'.

This is the basic point of development. Most of our thoughts and opinions are formed by the time that we are 5 years old. These are the reference points that we use to handle adult experiences. Understand where your attitudes, opinions and limitatons come from and then you can re-programme yourself with the new adult decision making indicators.

This has always been the weakness of any selling process. It assumes that once you learn a script or approach, it will be successful. It won't. As soon as the customer moves off at a tangent the sales person is thrown back onto the pre-conditioned responses.

If however, you build a sales person's genuine self-confidence (not a shallow mask) to a high level, the customer will be attracted to that power and respond to sensible and beneficial suggestions.

Do NOT forget the back end staff in this approach
